Approval for The Hundred
Fantastic news - we have secured planning permission for the proposed redevelopment of 100 Broad Street, an under-utilised brownfield site in the heart of the vibrant neighbourhood of Birmingham City Centre’s Westside.
Recently rebranded as ‘The Hundred’, this build-to-rent development will comprise 294 homes across 33 storeys, as well as space for shops and cafes at street level. It comprises one of the most sustainable developments in Birmingham and has been designed with the well-being of its residents at its core. It will be a ‘smart’ building that will utilise the latest and most innovative technologies to drive energy efficiency, and to monitor air quality, water consumption and waste. The completed building is expected to create more than fifty jobs.
Williams Gallagher worked closely with officers at Birmingham City Council to secure their recommendation for approval at planning committee alongside developers Urban Vision, project architect, Howells, and engineers RPS.
