Williams Gallagher Appointed by The Glee Club

We are thrilled to have been appointed as town planning advisors to The Glee Club, a much-loved live comedy, music and special events venue with sites in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Oxford.

The first Glee Club was opened by Mark Tughan at the Arcadian Centre in Birmingham's Chinese Quarter in 1994, the first dedicated comedy club to open in the United Kingdom outside London. Since its inception, The Glee Club as played host to a variety of well-known acts over the years with many professional acts also opting to play secret or low-key tour warm-up shows at its venues.

Most recently, we secured planning permission for a change of use to facilitate the opening of a new Glee Club venue in Leeds. We have also submitted applications for works to convert a listed building in Nottingham City Centre to accommodate the Club following the sad closure of its venue at the British Waterways Building in Castle Wharf.
